Rachel C. - Owner-Yoga Instructor

Rachel has over 1,000 hours of yoga instructor spanning 4 years, with an emphasis on kids, teens and family yoga. Rachel holds a 500-RYT as well as a 100-TIYE (Trauma Informed Yoga Educator), RCYT and is an Kidding Around Yoga Advanced Instructor/Trainer. Rachel is a former Grand Raggidy Roller Derby player and understands the demands on adult athletic bodies and how yoga can be part of a healthy lifestyle.  Let Rachel share her love and passion for yoga with you and your family.

Owners Abby + Rachel founded Aptitude Fitness + Yoga in late 2020. We believe that fitness and yoga are both part of a healthy lifestyle. 
My name is Therese and I live here in Rockford with my husband, two children, 3 dogs and cat! We love boating all summer on Lake Michigan and traveling to warm places in the winter. I have been practicing yoga since 2013 and started teaching in 2014. Right now I am currently working towards my 500 RYT. I love the connection of the mind/body. I have a passion for trauma informed yoga.

Caitlin - Barre + Yoga Instructor 

 Caitlin has been teaching Barre for about a year and has a passion for making her students feel confident in their own skin. Caitlin’s background is in tap, jazz, ballet and hip-hop dancing which you might see in her teaching style. Caitlin also maintains a regular yoga practice and has recently completed her 200-YTT this past June. When Caitlin is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her friends, dancing and mini-adventures.
Sara has been teaching yoga for 7 years and barre for 4 years. Sara holds a 200RYT as well as her 500RYT with a trauma informed focus.  Sara is the ultimate dog mom who loves running! Sara enjoys helping people move their bodies and be excited about their fitness journey. Sharing the calming effects and  physical benefits of yoga and barre with others is why she loves teaching.
